Quote-Unquote

In my busy-ness, I often find myself a little lacking in creative inspiration. Sometimes, I really want to learn something new, but mostly, I just don't have the time or the motivation. When this happens, I find that having a long and random academic discussion with friends usually gets me back on track, but when I don't have that mode of inspiration at hand, I like those hipster quote+picture sites. Or just quotes in general. So, I got out the old whiteboard, and I've decided there will be a quote of the day on it at all times (and my housemates will just deal, haha).

To start off, let me share some of my all-time favorites:
"Love is the irresistible desire to be irresistibly desired."
-Robert Frost
"Only in grammar can you be more than perfect."
-William Safire
"A slavish concern for the composition of words is the sign of a bankrupt intellect. Be gone, odious wasp! You smell of decayed syllables."
-Norton Juster
"And above all, watch with glittering eyes the whole world around you because the greatest secrets are always hidden in the most unlikely places. Those who don’t believe in magic will never find it."
-Roald Dahl

I don't know what it is with me and children's authors, okay? Possibly, I just like the idea of simplicity and possibility and magic that they present, but more likely, I'm just dying to escape to magical fairy lands and fun fictional places instead of taking the MCAT, my next midterm, and facing the "real world." I like escapism, what can I say?
